Rules, Rates & Extras

There may be an opportunity to add “Extras” (additional person, vehicle, pet, etc.) to your Unit with Bucks Lake Team approval, so check out our Rules, Rates & Extras for more information.

Check-out is 12:00 noon and check-in is between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

If you would like to check-in earlier you can call the office to see if your campsite will be available before 2:00 pm. If you show up early and your campsite is not ready, then you will have to pull to the side and wait. If you will be checking in later than 5:00 pm, please call and let the camp host know that you will be arriving late. Failure to arrive at the campground within 24 hours of check-in on the first date of your reservation will result in a forfeiture of the reservation. The campsite will be considered available and may be rented out to another party.

Reservations:
3 night minimum for general calendar (2 night minimum for Tuesday and Wednesday nights)
4 night minimum for holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day)

New this summer, every camper is required to obtain a campfire permit if you are planning on having a campfire during your stay at Bucks Lake Camp. They are easily obtainable by either going to a forest service office or online at www.readyforwildfire.org/permits. Click on Campfire permits, watch a short video, take a short quiz, and print out your permit. Please bring your permit with you to camp and present it to the host when you check in. When you leave camp, please make sure your campfire is put out properly. If you leave your campfire unattended and/or not put out when you leave there will be a $25.00 fee charged to your credit card.

Emergency or Natural Disaster: If an emergency or natural disaster forces the closure of our campground, we will notify you as early as possible and refund all camping fees.

Our priority is for every camper to have a great, relaxing, and SAFE experience here at camp. So we do have some property rules:

• 5 MPH Speed Limit
• Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am
• Bicycles must remain on designated roads (not on the beach or your neighbor’s campsite)
• Campfires are only allowed in areas designated with fire rings
• Do not leave food items or trash out overnight (Bears!)
• Dumpsters close at 9pm–do not throw trash on top of closed dumpster (Bears!)
• Leave No Trace: place trash in dumpsters; place recyclables in containers provided (plastic and aluminum only)
• Generators are not allowed during quiet (10pm-7am) hours and may only to be used twice a day for up to 2 hours to recharge batteries
• Children under 16 cannot operate golf carts

Not Allowed:
• Firearms
• Paint guns
• Fireworks or Tiki Torches
• Off-road gas/electric powered vehicles (this includes e-dirt bikes and children's electric jeep/cars)

It is unlawful to dispose of gray water waste from showers and kitchens to the ground surface. It is a violation of PG&E and Plumas County Code and will be strictly enforced.

Campers under 12 are free!

RV Sites:
• One Unit = 1 RV + 1 tent (for the kiddos, etc.) + 1 Vehicle + 4 people over the age of 12

Tent Sites:
• One Unit = 2 Tents (site size permitting) + 1 Vehicle + 4 people over the age of 12

Site Rates:

• Tent Only Site – $25 and $35 per night/Unit
• RV/Tent Site – $40 per night/Unit
• Waterfront Site – $45 per night/Unit
• Stonefly Group Site – $200 per night ($40 per night/Unit above max subject to approval)
•Caddis Small Group Site – $80 per night ($40 per night/Unit above max subject to approval)

A 11% tax fee is applied to total booking

9% Plumas County Transient Occupancy Tax and 2% Feather River Tourism tax

WE ACCEPT CASH, CHECK AND CREDIT CARD (3.5% cc fee added to total if paid with credit card)

Paying CASH/CHECK?

At checkout JUST PAY THE $15.00 MINIMUIM BOOKING FEE per site reservation and your remaining balance will be due at check-in.

$5 per pet/per night (limit 2)

We love our furry friends, but all pets must be leashed and attended at all times. No leaving pets in car or RV.

For the sanity of our campers, no barking dogs will be tolerated.

Limit 2 dogs per standard site. No pups in the bath house.

Pick up after your pets, no exceptions. Waste bins and bags available.

If dog waste is left in or around your campsite after you check out, a $25.00 fee will be charged to your credit card on file.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations 7 days prior to arrival:

Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made within 7 days of scheduled check-in

are subject to a forfeit of all the full reservation total. If paid full amount on credit card/debit card at check out that full amount will be nonrefundable at 7 days prior to check in. If cash option was selected at check out the credit card on file will be charged for the remaining reservation balance for the late cancellation.

General Cancellations before 7 days prior to arrival:

Cancellations made before 7 days of scheduled check-in will be subject to the loss of the $15 booking fee for both credit card/debit card

and cash reservations. If the reservation was paid in full with a credit card/debit card at checkout the remaining balance minus the $15

booking fee will be refunded. If the cash option was selected and the $15 booking fee was paid with a credit card/ debit card the fee is nonrefundable.

All reservations made for the week of July 1st thru July 5th, August 31st thru September 4th and all Early Booking made between

January 1st - January 14th are 100% NON-REFUNDABLE. If reservations are cancelled and only the deposit of $15 was paid, the remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file.

No-Show Policy: Credit Card on file will be charged at 11am on the day of the reservation checkout for full reservation amount.
