BUCKS LAKE CAMP

Where your next adventure begins...

About Us

Bucks Lake Camp is the perfect basecamp for your next adventure.  Our family and pet friendly property offers tent, RV and group campsites with convenient lake access. If you are a nature lover, looking for leisure, or just want to finally use that gone-fishin' sign, this is the place for you.

Being situated in the heart of the High Sierras means our season dates can vary depending on snow and access, but with these views we wouldn't have it any other way! We aim to open the gates Memorial Day weekend and break down camp October 1st.

We strive to provide a unique and rustic camp experience catered to your needs, and our sites are anything but ordinary, so reservations are handled directly by our team. We can't wait to see you at camp, so contact us for a reservation today!

2021 Season Updates

Hey Campers! We can't wait to see you this summer! We are booking reservations, but please be advised that we will be subject to any COVID-19 restrictions in place which may impact visitors, site limits and reservation status. We will be coordinating any required changes with those impacted as new or updated information becomes available.

If you would like to stay updated on camp news, reservation opening dates, camp activities, and all the other fun offerings, please subscribe to our Bucks Lake Camp Email List!

Our Sites

Our property offers a one-of-a-kind camp experience with plenty of options to fit your needs.  All sites have water hookups (no sewer or electric), and are either waterside or a short walk to the beach.

A quick note on pricing and campsite capacity: we book according to Units.  What is a Unit, you ask?

Lets get into the math:

RV Unit = 1 RV + 1 tent + 1 vehicle + 4 people over the age of 12

Tent Unit = 2 tents (site size permitting) + 1 vehicle + 4 people over the age of 12

There may be an opportunity to add "Extras" (additional person, vehicle, pet, etc.) to your Unit with Bucks Lake Team approval, so check out our Rules, Rates & Extras for details...

Availability Update: 8/19/2021

Hello Campers:

The evacuation order that was issued on July 18th for Bucks Lake has now been lifted.  Thanks to the incredible support of the community, first responders, fire suppression personnel, and countless others, Bucks Lake Camp was not damaged by the Dixie fire. Our thoughts and hearts go out to all those that have been--and continue to be--impacted by the devastating fires this season.

Our Camp Hosts are available to assist you at Basecamp. Please call 530-283-2221 to confirm the status of any current reservations, to see if new reservations are available, and what sort of camping limitations may be in effect. Some of our utilities and services may still be impacted by the continued management and support of the fire.

Sincerely,

Bucks Lake Camp Crew
